I do healing Reiki therapy for companion animals and horses. Reiki is an ancient Japaneese hands-on healing technique which channels universal energy (Ch'i or Ki) through the body to relieve stress, speed healing from injury or illness, relieve chronic pain, relax muscles and help ease behavioral issues such as anxiety or fear, among other things. Reiki heals on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. It can be used in combination with current treatments without interferring. I have been a Reiki master since 1995 and as such do not need to actually touch extremely squirmy or fearful patients to do the work. I treat owners as well and find that since pets often take on the issues of owners in an effort to clear their energy fields, that treatments on owners in conjunction with their beloved animals speeds healing for both exponentially.
